Job description

Micheldever Tyre Services is seeking an analytical and methodical Junior Financial Accountant for a 12-month fixed-term contract. The ideal candidate will have started their AAT qualification and be looking for an entry-level role. Responsibilities include completing reconciliations, account reviews, and supporting ad-hoc projects to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with monthly, quarterly, and annual procedures.

The Junior Financial Accountant will assist with day-to-day financial processes, support project work within the Financial Accounting team, and collaborate across departments to improve efficiency.

Role responsibilities:

• Preparing balance sheet reconciliations
• Managing expenses system administration
• Supporting payment administration tasks
• Calculating rebates payable accruals
• Supporting quarterly and annual audits and responding to audit requests
• Drafting statutory returns for HMRC and other regulators
• Preparing and submitting ONS, EC Sales, and Intrastat reports
• Ensuring journal authorizations before posting
• Posting journals accurately to the GL
• Completing delegated tasks from the Senior Financial Accountant
• Conducting month-end reviews and corrections as directed
