Salary: £32,000 - £36,000 Annual flexible working

Location: City, Sheffield

Description:

Sewell Wallis is excited to be working on a new opportunity for an immediately available candidate to join a Sheffield-based organisation as a Junior Finance Business Partner. This role is initially temporary, with potential for permanency. The successful candidate will support the Finance Business Partner and Senior Finance Business Partner during a busy period in a dynamic environment.

As part of the Finance Business Partner Team, your role will be to provide financial support to the organisation's budget holders.

What will you be doing?

• Liaising with the Procurement Team and department credit card holders to ensure expenditure is accurately recorded.
• Posting monthly journals to allocate credit card expenditure to departmental budgets.
• Preparing and posting monthly journals using data from other departments.
• Issuing month-end finance reports to budget holders.
• Supporting quarterly re-forecasting and annual budgeting processes.
• Assisting the Finance Business Partner & Senior Finance Business Partner with coding and budget queries.
• Reviewing procedure notes periodically and updating them as needed.
• Maintaining effective communication with Finance colleagues and other departments to ensure excellent service.

What skills are we looking for?

• Studying or planning to study towards a Professional accountancy qualification (ACCA/CIMA).
• Experience in management accounting, proficient with double-entry bookkeeping.
• Strong interpersonal skills, able to explain financial information clearly to non-financial managers.
• Ability to challenge and influence budget holders.
