Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is seeking a Junior Field Service Engineer for machine tools in the Bristol area. The role focuses on hands-on diagnostics, routine service, and customer training, with a strong emphasis on technical development and career progression within a global OEM.

You will be trained to become a technically proficient engineer with exposure to electrical/hydraulic and mechanical systems, supported by a comprehensive OEM training program and a full package including

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification required (HNC or Degree).
• Experience in machine tools is advantageous or apprentice-trained engineer.
• Hands-on, mechanically competent with knowledge of electrical/hydraulic and mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and rectify machine problems and breakdowns on tools and equipment.
• Train customers in operation, maintenance, and safety of machines.
• Perform routine service of machines and related equipment.
• Promote consumable sales and maintenance contracts.
• Promote sales of machine tools and associated equipment.
