Job summary

Kongsberg Precision Cutting Systems in the UK is seeking a Junior Field Service Engineer to install, maintain and support advanced cutting systems at customer sites. This is a hands-on, training-focused role with a clear development pathway into a senior field service engineer.

You will travel across Yorkshire and beyond 80-90% and gain experience with fault diagnosis, customer training, and remote support, while building relationships and documenting service activities.

Qualifications

• Qualification in electronics, mechanics or related engineering discipline.
• Previous experience in engineering, maintenance or technical support is beneficial.
• Strong communication skills and confidence working with customers.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, repair, relocate and dismantle cutting systems at customer sites.
• Diagnose faults and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Deliver operator training during installations and service visits.
• Support machine installations and represent the company at events.
• Build relationships with customers and understand their requirements.
