Job description

Velvet Entertainment is looking to expand its pool of freelancers with energetic, bright & passionate junior technicians to work alongside our senior technicians and freelancers, set up, run, and pack down the technical side of our events as well as warehouse prep & de-prep on our warehouse in South London.

No prior experience necessary – if you’ve got a basic grasp of AV equipment and a hunger to learn, we want to hear from you! You’ll work closely with our seasoned team, soaking up knowledge and gaining hands-on skills every step of the way. Whether you’re fresh out of school or switching career paths, we offer a supportive environment where you can flourish.

The ideal candidates will have the following:

• Previous experience in event production, AV technology, or related field is preferred but not required. Recent graduates or individuals with relevant coursework/training are encouraged to apply.
• Basic understanding of audiovisual equipment, lighting systems, and event production processes.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think quickly on your feet and adapt to changing event circumstances.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Detail-oriented approach with a focus on delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines.
• Reliable with a strong work ethic, demonstrating consistency and dedication to tasks and responsibilities.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate event schedules.
