Job DescriptionJunior Estimator – Mechanical Services (Air Conditioning)
Kemsing, Kent
£25,000 – £28,000 (depending on experience)

The Opportunity CBW is currently recruiting for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Estimator to support a growing Air Conditioning Division within a leading mechanical services team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone early in their career to gain hands-on experience in estimating and costing across a range of commercial and industrial HVAC projects.

Key Responsibilities


  • Assist in preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for air conditioning remedial works and call-outs



  • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to source competitive pricing



  • Support material ordering for approved quotations



  • Learn and follow internal estimating procedures and relevant industry standards



  • Work closely with technical service managers and field engineers



Key Skills & Attributes


  • Strong numerical and analytical skills



  • Basic knowledge of HVAC systems (or willingness to learn)



  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with estimating software is a bonus



  • High attention to detail and good organisational abilities



  • Confident communicator and effective team player



  • Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment



Qualifications & Experience


  • Working towards or holding a qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or Quantity Surveying



  • Previous work experience or in a construction/building services environment is desirable but not essential




  • Full UK Driving Licence required
