Junior Estimator / Design Engineer

Typical graduate pathway
  1. Months 0-6 – learn the software, price real enquiries, shadow design & site reviews.
  2. Months 6-18 – own small/medium projects; sit design-hand-over meetings; attend client calls.
  3. Months 18-36 – choose your next step: Senior Design Engineer / International Progression.
Day-to-day you will
  • Convert architect's drawings into accurate cost schedules (training provided).
  • Liaise with contractors, merchants and production to lock in budgets and delivery dates.
  • Work with in-house structural engineers on basic calcs and value-engineering ideas.
  • Compile hand-over packs so project teams hit the ground running.
  • Analyse win/loss data to sharpen future bids.
We’re looking for
  • Degree or HND in Civil/Structural Engineering, Architectural Technology, Construction Mgmt or similar.
  • Confident interpreting drawings; solid knowledge of construction process & standards.
