Job summary

Solution Search Limited - Construction is seeking an estimator to join our team for London and the South-East projects. You will assist in preparing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions, review drawings, and measure quantities using take-off software.

You will gain hands-on experience across a wide range of projects and work alongside an experienced estimator to develop your career in construction estimating. Strong numerical skills and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in construction estimating.
• A qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a similar discipline is advantageous.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• A willingness to learn and develop within the construction industry.
• A proactive attitude and the ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions.
• Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
• Measure quantities from drawings using digital take-off software.
• Obtain and compare quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Help prepare bills of quantities and pricing schedules.
• Maintain supplier and subcontractor databases.
• Liaise with project managers, site teams, and clients where required.
• Support the handover of successful tenders to the delivery team.
• Carry out general administrative duties within the estimating department.
