JOB ALERT – Junior IT Engineer

Contract | Hybrid (On-site) | South West London

I’m working with a local authority in South West London that’s looking for a Junior IT Engineer to support device builds, deployments, and day-to-day IT support across a busy public sector environment.

Must have experience working within Local Government.

Must have experience:

• Previous experience working in a Local Goverment
• Building and configuring laptops, phones, and desktop PCs
• Distributing and managing end-user devices
• Providing first-line IT support and troubleshooting hardware issues
• Collaborating with internal teams to support IT operations
• Maintaining basic records, asset logs, or IT documentation

Essentials:

• Hands-on, proactive approach to IT support
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexible and adaptable to changing schedules and support needs
• Awareness of IT hygiene, data handling, and device security

Location: Southwest London (Onsite)

Rate: £200 per day Inside IR35

Contract Length: 6 months initially (Potential to be extended)
