About the Role:

Our client is a forward-thinking consultancy dedicated to helping organisations transition to a sustainable, net-zero future. Combining expertise in finance, strategy, and clean technology, they deliver impactful solutions to address the challenges of climate change. They are seeking a motivated Junior Climate Finance Analyst to join their team and contribute to their mission of driving decarbonisation through data-driven financial strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct financial analysis and modelling to support investments in renewable energy and sustainable technologies.
  • Perform ESG and sustainability risk assessments, integrating non-financial metrics into valuation models.
  • Assist in preparing carbon footprint reports, including Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions analysis.
  • Support development of client decarbonisation strategies, including cost analysis and implementation plans.
  • Build and maintain financial models (e.g., DCF, Monte Carlo simulations, scenario analyses) to evaluate investments and optimise portfolios.
  • Provide market insights on investment strategies, climate policies, and emerging technologies.
  • Research clean technology investments, identifying opportunities and risks in emerging markets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align with sustainability goals and client objectives.
  • Fluency in Italian and English (written and spoken).
  • Strong academic background in finance, economics, or sustainability.
  • MSc in Climate Change, Management, and Finance (or equivalent) preferred; BSc in Economics, Finance, or related disciplines.
  • Experience in financial modelling, including DCF, WACC adjustments, and scenario analysis.
  • Proficiency with analytical tools (Excel, Bloomberg, Python).
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Passion for sustainability and climate change challenges.
  • Proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with ESG principles and carbon credit trading is beneficial.
  • Experience researching clean technology investments or assessing risks in emerging markets.
