About the Role:
Our client is a forward-thinking consultancy dedicated to helping organisations transition to a sustainable, net-zero future. They are seeking a motivated Junior Climate Finance Analyst to join their team and contribute to their mission of driving decarbonisation through data-driven financial strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct financial analysis and modelling to support investments in renewable energy and sustainable technologies.
- Perform ESG and sustainability risk assessments, integrating non-financial metrics into valuation models.
- Assist in preparing carbon footprint reports, including Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions analysis.
- Support development of client decarbonisation strategies, including cost analysis and implementation plans.
- Build and maintain financial models (e.g., DCF, Monte Carlo simulations, scenario analyses) to evaluate investments and optimise portfolios.
- Provide market insights on investment strategies, climate policies, and emerging technologies.
- Research clean technology investments, identifying opportunities and risks in emerging markets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align with sustainability goals and client objectives.
- Fluency in Italian and English (written and spoken).
- Strong academic background in finance, economics, or sustainability.
- MSc in Climate Change, Management, and Finance (or equivalent) preferred; BSc in Economics, Finance, or related disciplines.
- Experience in financial modelling, including DCF, WACC adjustments, and scenario analysis.
- Proficiency with analytical tools (Excel, Bloomberg, Python).
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Passion for sustainability and climate change challenges.
- Proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese is advantageous.
- Familiarity with ESG principles and carbon credit trading is beneficial.
- Experience researching clean technology investments or assessing risks in emerging markets.
