Job summary

KO2 Embedded Recruitment Solutions Ltd in Aberdeen is seeking a Junior Embedded Engineer to join a small, hands-on team developing embedded firmware for instrumentation devices.

You’ll write Embedded C for microcontrollers, bring up hardware and test on the bench, and gain experience across the full design life cycle with mentoring from experienced engineers. ARM Cortex-M and RTOS experience are welcome but not required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or a related subject.
• Embedded C programming on microcontrollers.
• Experience with SPI, I2C, UART, RS232, RS485.
• Peripherals: GPIO, timers, ADCs, interrupts.
• Ability to read schematics and understand analog/digital circuits.
• Confident debugging firmware on target hardware.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded firmware in C for microcontrollers.
• Join a small team and contribute across full design life cycle, from bring-up to testing.
• Collaborate with hardware and software to deliver reliable products.
