Job summary

TRS (Technical Recruitment Solutions) is seeking an Installation Engineer (Trainee / Junior Electrical) based in London / South East with travel to Cambridge and Oxford. The role offers a starting salary of £30,000–£36,000 plus a company van, benefits and full training.

You will install gas detection systems, work with conduit, trunking, cable tray and cabling, and assist with wiring and basic terminations. Occasional travel away is required with expenses covered.

Qualifications

• Some electrical experience (college, apprenticeship, improver or similar).
• Comfortable working on-site / hands-on role.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Installing gas detection systems on customer sites.
• Working with conduit, trunking, cable tray and cabling.
• Assisting with wiring and basic terminations.
• Travelling to sites across London and the South East.
• Occasional working away (all expenses covered).
• Completing basic admin (timesheets, reports, etc.).
