Job Title: Junior Electrical Engineer

Location: Barrow-in-Furness - 2 days on-site per month

Role Type: Permanent

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum depending on experience

Our client, an established aerospace engineering firm in the North West of England, require an experienced Junior Electrical Engineer to join their multi-disciplined team.

You will be part of a new team working on new technologies which are a first to the British Armed Forces. You will be involved in the development, verification, and validation processes, with a strong focus on Turbo Generators.

What the role of the Junior Electrical Engineer entails:

Some of the main duties of the Junior Electrical Engineer will include:

  • Writing technical specifications and supporting in the down selection and placing of contracts
  • Liaising and collaborating with external suppliers and the customer
  • Following design lifecycle management to ensure the delivery of equipment to specification
  • Providing technical consultation to multi-discipline teams, suppliers and stakeholders on matters related to the power system
  • Preparing technical reports, calculations, and presentations to communicate results and recommendations effectively

What experience you need to be the successful Junior Electrical Engineer:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering or related field
  • Experience with high power, medium voltage power electronics, machines, and drives
