Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Junior Electrical Design Engineer in Saltash, Cornwall to join a specialist engineering business. You will produce electrical design drawings, manage BOMs in the MRP system, and support build, commissioning and testing while receiving strong training and development.

The ideal candidate has AutoCAD experience and 1–2 years' relevant experience, with opportunities to grow across Aerospace, Construction, Marine and Defence projects.

Junior Electrical Design Engineer / Electrical Design Engineer

£35,000 - £40,000 + Training + Technical Development + Progression + Early Finish Friday

Saltash, Cornwall (Commutable from: Plymouth, Tavistock, Liskeard, Torpoint, Ivybridge, Callington, Bodmin)

Are you a Junior Electrical Design Engineer or Electrical Design Engineer with AutoCAD experience, looking to join a specialist engineering business where you will be trained, developed and able to grow your technical scope over time all while working on a variety of highly technical projects?

On offer is a permanent role where you will be properly supported with further training, and where the complexity of the work will increase as you develop-ideal for someone early in their design career who wants to build long-term expertise.

You will be joining a well-established engineering company with a close-knit team, working on varied equipment and project work across different industries. This company work with blue chip companies across the Aerospace, Construction, Marine and Defence industries providing end-to-end capabilities, combining technical expertise with precision manufacturing to deliver high-quality, lightweight, and durable components. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to add to their design function.

In this role you will produce electrical design drawings and documentation, create and manage BOMs/part numbers in the MRP system, and support build, commissioning and testing-plus provide technical support to clients and internal teams.

This role would suit a junior-level Electrical Design Engineer looking for strong training, increasing technical responsibility and long-term development in a stable, growing business.

The Role:

• Electrical design for equipment and process project work (AutoCAD)
• Design of electrical wiring looms, drawings and supporting documentation
• Hands-on support with build, commissioning and testing; occasional site work
• Mon-Thu 7:30-16:30, Fri 7:30-13:30

The Person:
