Job Summary

To support our teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Junior Electrical Design Engineer based in Kendal, UK. Reporting to the Sales Operations Manager – LVS, you will work within an engineering team, liaising with Project Managers and the Electrical Design Manager, supporting the development of standard drawings.

Typical daily tasks include:

• Creating electrical designs of switchboards and related products for sales and production
• Collaborating with the sales team to understand client specifications
• Ensuring drawings are accurate and well-controlled
• Supporting sales in resolving product design issues
• Working with 2D & 3D designers to maintain an accurate library
• Using AutoCAD to modify existing drawings

Desired experience and skills:

• Relevant experience in electrical switchgear production or a related qualification
• Strong understanding of electrical fundamentals and circuit design
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Methodical problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of electrical engineering drawings is a plus
