Job summary

Mercury Engineering invites applications for a Junior EHS Advisor in Oxford, UK. The role works with the Project Management team to implement EHS direction, set targets, and ensure on-site compliance with safety plans and legislation.

You will support safety audits, risk assessments, toolbox talks, and incident investigations, liaising with site management and contractors to uphold high environmental, health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of current environmental, health and safety legislation.
• Flexibility in working patterns as needed.
• Experience managing environmental and safety issues on site.

Responsibilities

• Adherence to Mercury Safety Management system.
• Coordinate development of method statements and risk assessments.
• Carry out site audits and inspections and follow up on actions.
• Provide safety input to site management and EHS forums.
• Ensure sub-contractor adherence to EHS policies.
• Coordinate Mercury site induction and training.
• Record and manage safety data and waste programmes.
