Location: London Headquarters, UK

Reports to: Senior E-commerce Manager

Contract: Permanent, Maternity Cover FTC – 6 Months until 6th February 2026

Your role @Chanel:

The Junior E-Merchandise Manager role is pivotal to the successful growth of the Chanel.com business and the implementation of Campaign Launches to drive the wider Ecommerce Strategy.

The role is responsible for the Analysis, Trading and end to end Campaign Management for Chanel.com. This role manages E-Commerce forecasting, as well as leading the activation of all Campaigns including product ownerships and e-Merchandising for new launches across UK, Canada, Ireland and South Africa Chanel.com. The role also manages detailed weekly, monthly, yearly analysis on traffic, product performance and Client purchase behaviour to develop the Chanel.com business in a competitive landscape.

In addition, the role supports in Traffic and Acquisition Digital Marketing channels SEO and PPC

Whilst driving UX and Personalisation Testing Program for the UK Region; developing a comprehensive roadmap targeted to improve user journeys and conversion rate metrics.

The role has one direct report of an E-Commerce Assistant, working in collaborationwith multiple stakeholders across Regional, Global and local departments including Marketing, Operations, IT, Digital Design, as well as the key partner to Global E-Business teams in Paris.


What impact you can create at Chanel:

Online Analysis & Trade Reporting:

  • Responsible for trade and analytics reporting on a weekly/monthly/ad-hoc basis, sharing insights & actions with the Ecommerce and wider teams. Providing insights on Digital campaigns across Chanel.com using multiple sources of data to provide constructive campaign analysis.
  • Collaborate with e-Commerce Manager on producing key presentations for stakeholder meetings sharing insights on performance to drive future strategic conversations.
  • Management and development of the E- Commerce Assistant: Overseeing and upskilling on trade and analytics reporting to enable them to support with developing local merchandising strategies

Chanel.com e-Merchandising management:

  • Manage the E-Commerce calendar including Digital campaign launches, product activations and CMS updates, ensuring a streamlined process and alignment with Marketing, retail and CRM
  • Drive the success of the e-Commerce product assortment attending buying cycles to forecast new campaigns and initiatives as well as maintaining the product range reviewing sales and stock levels
  • Regional E-Merchandising support for Canada, Ireland and South Africa, as well as cross Divisionally across Eyewear E-Commerce and Watches & Fine Jewellery.

Traffic Acquisition & Digital Marketing:

  • Support the development and execution of online marketing activities to drive the e-Commerce business, taking ownership of eCommerce tasks.
  • Manage key partnerships with the Digital UX Development agency, SEO & PPC agencies, ensuring maximised value from existing contracts and delivering improved benefits to the business.
  • Lead on Organic Search Acquisition channel by working closely with the Global SEO team and external agency to implement the SEO strategy. Ensure the site’s technical health is maintained whilst identifying opportunities to enhance performance through on-site optimisations.
  • Oversee the Paid Search strategy in partnership with Media teams and ensure optimal performance of campaigns and conversion through this channel.
  • Collaborate with CRM team to optimise campaigns based on site trends and trade activations.
  • Ensure strong EDM strategy that both supports key campaigns and local trends. This role is encouraged to regularly explore opportunities to increase traffic to website, monitoring performance and highlighting new initiatives that could be explored.

Personalisation & User Experience Testing:

  • Work collaboratively with the Regions, Global Digital teams and Global F&B Division to create and implement the User Experience Roadmaps to enhance site performance.
  • Use data to inform decisions for UX Tests and work with UX committee to prioritise for UK Region
  • Develop a robust on site and post purchase personalisation program targeted with improving user journeys and conversion rate metrics.
  • Create a sharing environment with the Regions to al of ideas and best practices.

  • Strong technical understanding, with experience of e-Commerce platforms and IT operations
  • Exceptional communication skills and relationship building
  • Pro-active mindset with the ability to generate innovative ideas and drive influence.
  • Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail, able to effectively manage and prioritize
  • Advanced Excel Knowledge, with experience of Power BI or other advanced reporting system
  • Strong presentation & PowerPoint skills
