Job summary

Une entreprise de défense recherche un Draughtsperson pour rejoindre son équipe de conception mécanique. Dans ce rôle, vous serez responsable de la modification et du soutien des produits aérospatiaux à travers l'utilisation de CAD 3D (SolidWorks) et CAD 2D (AutoCAD). Idéal pour un candidat organisé et motivé, avec des tâches variées allant de l'analyse de tolérance à la collaboration interdisciplinaire.

Qualifications

• Diplôme, HNC/HND, ou OND/ONC en ingénierie mécanique ou domaine similaire.
• Expérience dans un bureau de conception mécanique souhaitée.
• Connaissance des normes de régulation (Aéronautique, Défense, Médical).

Responsibilities

• Modifier des produits existants et nouveaux en utilisant SolidWorks et AutoCAD.
• Vérifier et mettre en œuvre des changements de conception et autres spécifications.
• Collaborer avec d'autres ingénieurs pour mettre en œuvre des changements.

Copello is working with a defence client who is looking for a Draughtsperson to join their Mechanical Design team, responsible for designing, developing, and supporting a portfolio of aerospace products for military and civilian applications.

This role is ideally suited to an organized, proactive, and self-motivated individual with a methodical approach to maintaining engineering product design documentation.

In this role, you will support the legacy and development of current and next-generation products using 3D CAD (SolidWorks) and 2D CAD (AutoCAD).

Key responsibilities

• Modify new and existing products using 3D CAD (SolidWorks) & 2D (AutoCAD).
• Check, author, and implement (CR/CO) design changes, specifications, and other data related to product build standards.
• Evaluate and consider the impact of changes on the product, considering cost (UPC) and maintenance requirements.
• Consider the effect of changes (CR/CO) on product conformance with performance specifications.
• Undertake basic tolerance analysis of design changes, with a good understanding of inspection metrology methods, GD&T, and standard tolerance methods.
• Collaborate with other engineers and departments to implement changes.
• Assist in investigations of product failures.
• Provide support to manufacturing.
• Produce and modify detailed drawings for component manufacture and product assembly, including piece parts, assembly, family tree, installation drawings, and data sheets.
• Generate and manage parts lists and BOMs.

Qualifications

• Degree, HNC/HND, or OND/ONC in Mechanical Engineering or similar (experience considered).
• Experience working in a mechanical design office is beneficial.
• Experience in highly regulated industries (Aerospace, Defence, Medical, Nuclear) is beneficial.
• Experience implementing mechanical design solutions through the Life Cycle Management process.
• This role could be suitable for a first placement in industry or a seasoned draftsperson.
