Qualifications

  • GMC-registered doctor with ST4+ level experience in any clinical specialty.
  • Resided in the UK for the past 3 years (Police vetting requirement).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct forensic examinations and holistic assessments.
  • Liaise with police, social services, and wider MDTs.
  • Contribute to quality improvement and service audits.

Sexual Offences Examiner (ST4+ Doctors) - Training Provided - Work from Home

Cumbria

Part-time up to 24 hrs p/ week - Flexibility considered

£79,497-£82,638 (pro rata)

Are you an experienced doctor (ST4+ equivalent) looking for a new, meaningful, and alternative career path?

Join our client, a leading provider in forensic and sexual assault care, as a Sexual Offences Examiner based in Cumbria.

This is a unique opportunity to transition into a specialist field where compassionate care, clinical development, and multi-agency collaboration come together to support vulnerable children and young people. Training and support to become a specialist in the field.

About the Role

  • Rota: Rota is 9.30-3.30 Mon/Tues/Thurs/Fri (the days are flexible). Mixture of on call and office working.
  • Relocation package available

Your Responsibilities

  • Conduct forensic examinations and holistic assessments (safeguarding, mental health, sexual health)
  • Liaise with police, social services, and wider MDTs
  • Contribute to quality improvement, service audits, and FFLM-aligned practice
  • Ensure compliance with Forensic Science Regulator standards

What We're Looking For

  • GMC-registered doctor with ST4+ level experience in any clinical specialty
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to a new field
  • UK driving license and access to a car
  • Resided in the UK for the past 3 years (Police vetting requirement)

Desirable but not essential:

  • Experience in paediatrics, sexual health, O&G, or general practice
  • FFLM membership or diploma
