About Cycle Confident Ltd (part of the Be Confident Group)

Cycle Confident has been in operation for 10 years and is a stable, profitable and well organised business.

We are leaders in the market place and our bespoke industry-leading software enables us to continuously scale and grow the business. We have recently acquired BikeRight as part of the Be Confident Group and the two companies together have allowed us to expand our geographic area and become the primary National cycle training provider providing consistent quality training throughout the UK.

About the role

We are a dynamic and ambitious company who have developed bespoke cycle training software over the past 10 years and we are recruiting for a junior developer to continue the site development. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a big impact not only within the organisation but also within our industry as a whole.

Our ideal candidate will have some experience in Python and using Django for web development.

We are looking for a candidate who is technically very able, has a desire to learn and develop their skill set with us, problem solve and be able to understand and interpret front end user requirements into technical development.

You will be supported by an experienced Lead developer who has been developing the software for many years. We're developing lots of new features and if you think you can be part of a fast paced, adaptive release schedule and bring a sharp mind and great analytical skills to the table we would love to hear from you!

Technical skill set requirement:

The successful applicant MUST:

  • Have experience with Python/Django, Git, Linux
  • Be familiar with version control and release management techniques.

Will IDEALLY have experience with:

  • jQuery
  • CSS

Not required but helpful experience with:

  • Celery
  • Redis
  • Amazon Web Services
  • TDD

Terms

Initial 12 month contract

Working hours

Approx. 40 hours per week.

Location

The successful candidate will be located at the company's dedicated premises in SW9.
