Job summary

NCR Voyix Corporation is seeking a highly motivated Junior DevOps Engineer to join our Bath office on an onsite policy. This entry-level role contributes to the design, development, and maintenance of software solutions within a collaborative environment.

You will participate in the full software delivery lifecycle, learn modern tooling, write clean code, and collaborate with senior engineers to understand project requirements and deliver reliable infrastructure support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, SE, or a related field.
• Solid understanding of CS fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, OOP.
• Proficiency in at least one modern language (Go/Java/Python/JS/C#).
• Familiarity with Git and Agile development.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing and deployment.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams on requirements.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving software defects.
• Develop and execute unit tests and participate in integration testing.
• Learn and apply new tools and technologies relevant to projects.
• Contribute to code reviews and documentation.

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
• Use AI to Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in accordance with established coding standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and contribute to technical discussions.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving software defects and issues.
• Develop and execute unit tests and participate in integration and system testing.
• Learn and apply new technologies, tools, and methodologies relevant to project needs.
• Contribute to code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain and improve existing software applications.
• Document technical designs, processes, and procedures.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Solid understanding of fundamental computer science concepts, including data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Go, Java, Python, JavaScript, C# ).
• Familiarity with software development tools and methodologies (e.g., version control systems like Git, Agile development).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and challenges.
• Cloud experience a plus (GCP, Azure, AWS)
• Prior internship or project experience in software development is a plus.
• 0-2 years of experience in the role or a related field.
