Job summary

Referment, a London-based foreign exchange and payments specialist, is hiring a Junior Developer to work directly with the Lead Developer in a small, fast-paced team. You will build and own internal tools, not just fix tickets, with coaching and room to grow as the engineering function expands.

The role is office-based in central London, five days a week, with opportunities to engage across the product stack and learn from hands-on ownership from early on.

Qualifications

• 0–3 years in development with a working understanding of Python and JavaScript.
• Comfort with APIs, databases and version control.
• Fluent, critical use of AI coding tools in your workflow.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside the Lead Developer to build and maintain the internal tools that power the firm's operations.
• Scope problems directly with the teams who use those tools.
• Integrate with third-party systems.
• Flag risk early, particularly anything touching client money.
