Role: Junior Design Engineer (Electrical/Electronic)

Location: Peterborough

Rate: £30.00 p/h Umbrella OR £22.00 PAYE

Duration: 12 Months (likely to extend)

We are looking for a Junior Design Engineer to join the electrical team of a global automotive company based in Peterborough. This role involves electrical design tasks and automotive harness development.

Responsibilities:

• Creating and maintaining electrical designs using AutoCAD Electrical and Autodesk Vault.
• Designing electrical system layouts, schematics, and cable block diagrams.
• Supporting the development of automotive wiring harnesses for engine test facilities.
• Loom and harness builds, including basic fault-finding tasks.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D, AutoCAD Electrical, and/or Autodesk Vault.
• Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• 1-3 years’ experience in electrical/electronic design.
