Job Description

Junior Design Engineer - £25-30k DOE - Oxford - On-site

My client is a world-leading company in their niche manufacturing and designing audio technology. They are looking for a junior or graduate electromechanical design engineer to join their successful team.

Main duties:
  1. Create, define, and build test solutions for production processes.
  2. Design functional test solutions using electronics and mechanics.
  3. Participate actively in product validation by modifying prototype PCBs and related subassemblies.
  4. Troubleshoot design and build issues, assist with general R&D duties and obsolescence management, and support subcontractors and production teams.
Skills and Experience Required:
  1. Bachelors in Music Tech or Electronics with extracurricular audio projects.
  2. Experience with programming in C, C#, or VB.
  3. PCB rework, wiring, looming, and layout experience (CAD).
  4. Experience with mechanical, metal work fabrication, and hand tools.
Bonus:
  1. Previous electronic manufacture and design experience.
  2. Experience with single board development like Raspberry Pi or Arduino.
