Junior Design Engineer

Chesterfield, Derbyshire

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing engineering client, due to an ever-increasing workload and continued growth, they are looking to expand their engineering/projects team with ambitious and motivated individual.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with LV Switchgear experience - either from a design or build background - to join a company that is passionate about investing in its people as much as its products.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the design and/or build of LV Switchgear systems

Support the delivery of engineering projects across various stages

Engage in system integration including PLCs, changeover systems, and commissioning

Read and work from CAD drawings and technical documentation

Collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders

Maintain adherence to quality standards and safety procedures

Candidate Requirements

Previous experience or knowledge of LV Switchgear

Background in electrical engineering, panel building,

Experience using CAD

Proactive, self-motivated and eager to learn

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
