Betway Global in London is seeking a Junior Data Scientist to explore untapped data values and mine external data for predictive and prescriptive modeling. You will work across the data lifecycle from collection and cleaning to initial modelling, supporting business decisions.

You will help ensure data quality, contribute to model evaluation and monitoring, and communicate results to non-technical stakeholders while collaborating with technology and operations teams.

Don’t look back and submit your application before the opportunity passes you by..Data ExplorationThe Junior Data Scientist is responsible for assisting and participating in exploration of untapped data values in our business ecosystem, regardless of data formats, as well as mining external data, with the aim of utilizing them for the purpose of predictive and prescriptive modelling solutions.Data ValidationThis role is responsible for ensuring that the data being used is accurate, reliable, and suitable for the model being built. This includes tasks such as data cleaning, data verification, data transformation and validation methods using both statistical and machine learning methods.Model UsageThis role assists with marrying business understanding and knowledge with existing, appropriate, predictive and prescriptive model offerings (machine learning and AI) for commercial and/or operational benefits, given a known business challenge.Model DeploymentThe Junior Data Scientist assists in the integration and implementation of relevant models into the applicable business processes through collaboration with relevant technology and/or operations team(s).Model Evaluation and MonitoringThey assist in model validation, evaluation and monitoring in production.Team Development & Stakeholder EngagementThe Junior Data Scientist contributes to technical standards, tooling, and best practices across the team. They communicate modelling approaches, trade-offs, and results clearly to non-technical stakeholders, helping with how data science work is understood and adopted across the business.This job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of responsibilities.
