Data Analyst - Python/SQL sought by leading investment bank based in Belfast.

**Inside IR35 - 3 days a week on site**

About the Role:
We are seeking a Data Analyst to support the timely execution of technical, data-centric deliverables within a Markets Transformation Team. This is a front-office facing role working closely with trading desks, quantitative teams, and technology teams to ensure clean, accurate data and to support strategic initiatives.

The successful candidate will have experience in data analysis, solution design, and project management, with a strong technical background in SQL and Python. You will help decompose complex problems, design strategic solutions, and deliver implementations that support business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Extract, analyze, and manipulate large datasets (e.g., ~5 million trades) to support front-office decision-making.
• Collaborate with business, quantitative, and technology teams to identify and solve complex data problems.
• Design and implement data solutions and frameworks, including contributing to the build-out of a testing framework.
• Present insights and explain technical solutions clearly to stakeholders.
• Support credit, risk, and RWA initiatives with accurate, actionable data.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong data analysis skills with hands-on experience in SQL and Python (other programming languages acceptable).
• STEM background (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics).
• Experience using data to develop solutions and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Ability to work effectively with large datasets and understand trade-level data (knowledge of trading is a plus but not essential).
• Familiarity with front-office or financial services environments is advantageous.

Desirable:

• Experience working in financial services, particularly in credit, risk, or RWA.
• Exposure to testing frameworks or data quality initiatives.
