Job description

The Junior D1 Trader will assume a vital role in our trading team, focusing on the European and US TRS (Total Return Swap) book. As a Junior D1 Trader, you will be responsible for executing trades, hedging risks, and analyzing market trends to identify potential trading opportunities. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.

Key Areas of Responsibilities

  • Managing the European and US TRS book. Hedging risks of the book in the European and US market opening time.
  • Analyzing the inventory stability and looking for outperformance opportunities.
  • Developing systematic tools for transaction analysis.
  • Developing systematic hedging/alpha strategies for the EMEA/US markets.
  • Monitoring the automated trading program developed by the EQD BJ team during London hours.
  • Collaborating with traders from other regions on cross-region arbitrage opportunities.
  • Monitoring and analyzing market conditions, news, and events to identify potential risks and opportunities.
  • Exploring and analyzing diverse datasets to identify trading opportunities and market trends.

Requirements

  • Degree in Finance, Mathematics, Sciences, Engineering, or related disciplines.
  • Fluency in English; Chinese language skills are desirable.
  • Coding skills are preferred.
  • Strong work ethic and motivation.
  • Ability to think quickly and critically, solving problems related to trading, risk, and operations.
  • Ability to work under pressure and collaborate in a team.
