Searchability in Cheltenham is recruiting a Junior Cyber Security Consultant to support secure delivery across client and internal projects. You will assist with risk assessments, security controls and vulnerability tracking while developing documentation.

You will work with experienced security professionals, benefit from structured learning, mentoring, and exposure to ISO 27001/NIST frameworks in a supportive team environment. The role is full-time and onsite in Cheltenham.

Qualifications

• Degree in Cyber Security, IT, or a related subject or current studies.
• Good understanding of networking, systems and application security.
• Strong interest in developing a career within cyber security.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team.
• Familiarity with ISO 27001 or NIST frameworks is beneficial.
• Must hold, or be eligible to obtain, UK Security Clearance.

They are looking to grow their cyber security capability and are seeking a Junior Cyber Security Consultant who is keen to develop their skills alongside experienced security professionals.

THE JUNIOR CYBER SECURITY CONSULTANT ROLE:

As a Junior Cyber Security Consultant, you will support the delivery of cyber security work packages across client and internal projects. You will assist with risk assessments, security controls, vulnerability tracking and the development of security documentation.

You will also contribute to Security Management Plans, Key and Certificate Management Plans, Security Case Reports, policies and procedures, while working closely with wider technical teams to support secure solution design.

JUNIOR CYBER SECURITY CONSULTANT ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

• Degree, or currently working towards a degree, in Cyber Security, Information Technology or a related subject
• Good understanding of networking, systems and application security
• Strong interest in developing a career within cyber security
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team
• Familiarity with frameworks such as ISO 27001 or NIST would be beneficial
