Executive Jet Support Ltd. is hiring a Junior Cyber Security Analyst for an on-site, full-time role in Chippenham. You will monitor security alerts with Defender XDR, investigate email threats, and help remediate incidents across Microsoft 365 and endpoint security.

The role requires familiarity with Windows, Microsoft 365, Defender products, and SOC environments. A strong learning mindset and attention to detail are essential for ongoing security improvements in a growing aviation company.

• Experience with Defender XDR.
• Experience reviewing security alerts or working in a SOC.
• Knowledge of Defender for Endpoint and ASR rules.
• Familiarity with Group Policy (GPO).
• Experience with Intune and SIEM platforms.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and triage security alerts from Defender XDR and other platforms.
• Investigate email threats including phishing, malware, and suspicious attachments.
• Manage Microsoft 365 email quarantine and release legitimate messages.
• Assist with incident remediation and security improvements.
• Support vulnerability management and security hardening activities.
• Review alerts from protection platforms and maintain incident records.
• Monitor endpoint security across Windows devices and servers.
• Assist with implementing and maintaining Microsoft security controls.
• Support Defender, Intune and Microsoft 365 security features.
• Review and maintain Attack Surface Reduction policies.
• Support security awareness initiatives and user education.
• Escalate significant threats to senior engineers when required.
• Collaborate with the wider IT team to improve security posture.

• Supporting the administration of Microsoft Defender, Intune and Microsoft 365 security features
• Assisting with reviewing and maintaining Attack Surface Reduction (ASR) policies
• Supporting security awareness initiatives and user education
• Maintaining accurate documentation and incident records
• Escalating significant threats and incidents to senior engineers where required
• Working closely with the wider IT team to improve the organisations security posture
• Supporting the wider IT team during periods of increased demand, project activity or planned absence cover
