Job summary

Darktrace in Cambridge is seeking a Junior Credit Controller to join our Finance team on a hybrid basis, two days per week in the office.

You will own the credit control process for a designated portfolio, drive cash collection and reduce aged debt while maintaining strong customer relationships.

The role requires strong numeracy, pro-active attitude and good communication, with opportunities to collaborate across global teams.

Qualifications

• Educated to A level or equivalent with strong numeracy.
• Previous credit control or customer service experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Monitor cash collection within the assigned portfolio to meet monthly targets.
• Issue customer statements and dunning letters; contact customers per protocol.
• Answer customer queries with timely, professional responses.
• Allocate customer payments and maintain the debtors spreadsheet.
• Support sales, technical and finance teams to improve cash collection.
• Undertake ad-hoc tasks as required.

Learn Fast **Job D****escription****:** We have a new opportunity in our Finance team for a Junior Credit Controller to join us on a hybrid basis out of our Cambridge office, with the expectation of attending a minimum of two days a week. As a Credit Controller you will own an effective and professional credit control process for a designated portfolio, driving cash collection and reducing aged debt across a rapidly expanding, world-class company. You'll work within the credit control team and alongside finance, sales and operational colleagues globally — protecting good credit control outcomes while keeping customer relationships strong. No two days are the same, and you'll be balancing multiple priorities at once, so strong communication, superb time management and excellent attention to detail are key. **Day to day you'll be:** * Monitoring cash collection of outstanding balances within your allocated portfolio and working towards monthly collection targets,* Following our credit control procedures — issuing customer statements and dunning letters, contacting customers by telephone using the correct protocol, and following the internal escalation process where needed,* Answering customer queries and ensuring a timely, professional response,* Allocating customer payments and maintaining the debtors spreadsheet,* Establishing and maintaining effective lines of communication with sales and technical teams globally,* Supporting the wider finance team on projects to improve cash collection, plus ad-hoc tasks as required. **Candidate requirements** Darktrace warmly welcomes applications from candidates with previous credit control experience, or translatable customer service experience, and who are educated to A level or equivalent. You'll bring excellent numeracy and administrative skills, and be confident addressing and escalating matters with colleagues to resolve underlying issues.
