We’ve already cleared the way for 100,000 businesses with more than £4 billion in funding. Our passionate team is driven to help even more SMEs succeed, through access to better finance and other services that make running a business easier. Our ultimate mission is to support one million SMEs in their defining moments, creating lasting impact for the communities and economies they drive.

The team

We’re growing fast, and more customers means more credit decisions. Our credit team is expanding and we’re looking for experienced analysts to assess our customers in a fast, fair and accurate way.

The role
  • Assess credit applications – use your experience, a variety of data sources and our tech platform to make fast, fair and accurate decisions.
  • Have autonomy in decisioning, the scope of which will increase over time as you build knowledge of our systems and processes.
  • Support other analysts on larger and more complex decisions, which is a key part of our workflow.
  • Work alongside our analytics teams to optimise our approach to lending and adapt your own approach in line with that goal.
The requirements
  • Demonstrates curiosity to use and learn more about AI tools. Comfortable using AI tools in practical ways to solve problems, increase productivity, improve quality of work, and explain reasoning behind them.
  • Smart, humble, motivated and always looking to improve.
  • Knowledge of foundational finance and accounting principles, whether acquired academically or through an internship.
  • Strong business acumen and working understanding of the risk and revenue drivers that influence creditworthiness of a loan application.
  • Fluent in German, C1 level.
  • Ability to interpret and analyse financial statements.
  • Motivated and enthusiastic attitude that works well in a regularly changing and fast paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills. Direct telephone contact with customers, daily interaction within credit decisioning, and regular contact with other teams on cross-functional initiatives.
  • Analytical mindset with practical approach to problem solving. Create innovative, scalable solutions to day-to-day problems and suggest process improvements.

Don’t take this list as prescriptive: it’s just to give you a sense of who might do well at the job. We’d still love to hear from you if you don’t hit every point on the list, or if you have other experience.

The salary

We expect to pay from £32,000 — £45,000 for this role. But, we’re open-minded, so definitely include your salary goals with your application. We routinely benchmark salaries against market rates, and run quarterly performance and salary reviews.

We're a tech company and believe in the power of AI to help us work faster and better.
