Summary of Role:

We are seeking enthusiastic graduate engineers to join our Energy team. Responsibilities include software design, development, and implementation for PLC/IED based control and/or SCADA Operational Technology Systems. The role involves working on all project lifecycle aspects for PLC/IED and SCADA/DCS systems in renewable power generation, storage, transmission, and distribution industries. Projects include system upgrades, modifications, and new builds. Training will be provided as needed. This role is ideal for graduates seeking a career in control system automation software.

  • University Degree (BEng, BSc, MEng, MSc) in Control Systems Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or similar
  • Coding experience in at least one high-level language (e.g., C, VB, C#, Java)
  • Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming concepts
  • Interest in operating systems, virtualization, and networking
  • Willingness to travel and work away when required
  • Experience with PLC software to IEC61131 standards using ladder, function block diagram, sequential function chart, and structured text
  • Experience with SCADA systems
  • Experience with communication protocols
  • Experience with virtualization using VMWare or HyperV
  • Experience with Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 and domain configuration
  • Experience with network switch and firewall configuration
  • Experience with simulation software such as SIMIT, PICS, or WinMOD
  • Full UK driving license

  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
