Blue Projects is a dynamic consulting firm specializing in providing bespoke Engineering and Project Management solutions for clients in the industrial sector.

We are seeking a Junior Contract Manager for our Manchester Office to support our strategic growth.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Technical fields, Law, or Economics (additional advantage)
  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • 2-3 years of experience in contract administration
  • Hybrid work model (50/50), with periodic travel to the site
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role or procurement; experience with large engineering and construction projects is a plus

Personality Traits:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Contract Management
  • Manage tender procedures, prepare tender packages, and ensure compliance with internal procedures
  • Participate in commercial discussions and document minutes
  • Draft and review contracts and purchase orders
  • Monitor tender progress and manage order processing, ensuring adherence to supplier agreements
  • Handle contract administration and payments as per contractual terms
  • Maintain relationships with management, clients, and vendors
2. Project Controls
  • Attend project meetings, document minutes, and track actions
  • Support project documentation formatting and standardization
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to monitor project progress
  • Identify efficiencies and support project team operations
  • Organize and control project documents, maintaining registers and adhering to procedures
3. Document Control
  • Ensure project documents follow numbering systems and are properly archived
  • Control project documentation across multiple projects
  • Conduct audits to ensure data accuracy and compliance
  • Assist with file migrations, audits, and administrative tasks
