Job summary

Future Engineering Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a Junior Construction Planner in Somerset to support development and maintenance of construction programmes for major projects across the UK and Europe.

This role offers hands-on training and mentorship from experienced planners within a fast-paced, technically demanding environment. You will work with project managers, engineers and site teams to align programme logic with on-site activities, track progress, and gain exposure to BIM and 4D planning

Qualifications

• Experience in construction planning or a relevant degree (Construction Management, Civil Engineering, etc.)
• Basic understanding of construction sequencing and project delivery
• Exposure to planning software such as Primavera P6 or Asta Powerproject

Responsibilities

• Supporting the development and maintenance of construction programmes
• Assisting in aligning programme logic with site activities and installation sequencing
• Working closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams
• Helping track progress, update programmes, and produce reports
• Supporting the identification of programme risks, delays, and coordination issues
• Gaining exposure to BIM models and 4D planning tools
