The Client

We’re working with FTSE listed company providing pension and asset management. They are currently seeking to fill Junior Commercial role (1-2 PQE) in their in-house Legal Team.

While experience in financial services is advantageous, the team is open to candidates from a range of practice areas with a strong foundation in commercial contracts and a keen interest in risk management and internal advisory work.

The Role

This is a varied in-house position supporting both legal operations and risk management initiatives. Key responsibilities include:

• Advising on and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts across the business.
• Supporting internal stakeholders with day-to-day legal queries and business partnering across departments.
• Advising on regulatory and compliance issues, with a particular focus on legal risk management frameworks.
• Assisting in the development and maintenance of legal precedents and internal guidance materials.
• Supporting the management of external counsel on discrete matters or projects.
• Delivering training and raising awareness of legal risks and internal policies across the Group.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• E&W Qualified, 1-2 years’ post-qualification experience, having trained in private practice at reputable city firm or an established in-house legal team.
• Desire to work in a large business in a varied role within the in-house Legal Team
• Exposure to any of the following areas is beneficial: financial services, life/consumer insurance, data protection, or regulatory law.
