Junior Commercial Counsel — Global Aviation

Job summary

Vista Global, a leading international business aviation group, seeks a Junior Commercial Counsel to support growth across its brands. You will draft and negotiate diverse commercial agreements, coordinate cross‑functional projects, and provide pragmatic legal guidance to a global team.

You will collaborate with sales and operations, gain exposure to litigation support, and play a key role in maintaining efficient processes and training across the legal function.

Qualifications

• Qualified attorney admitted to practice law in England & Wales.
• Minimum 3 years in a similar role and/or with relevant law firm experience.
• Demonstrable contract drafting and negotiating experience.
• Commercially minded dealmaker with a lawyer’s attention to detail.
• Capable project manager with a knack for pushing tasks forward efficiently.
• Highly communicative with a strong ‘soft skills’ set.
• Excellent interpersonal skills – able to translate legal matters to non‑legal audience.
• Process driven, but not dependent – able to think outside the box and tackle matters of first impression.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and edit commercial legal agreements (including charter and flight service contracts, loyalty and referral programs, marketing and publicity agreements, website and app T&Cs, licenses, leases, vendor contracts, SLAs, MSAs, NDAs, etc.)
• Negotiate agreements directly with third parties, including clients and their counsel.
• Develop a solid understanding of the company’s product and business goals.
• Develop and implement sound processes and procedures to drive efficiency.
• Lead cross-departmental projects from scoping to implementation.
• Build and nurture strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
• Help coordinate and triage team projects.
• Provide pragmatic, deal‑minded support and advice to a global business team.
• Review and approve customer‑facing marketing materials and communications.
• Assist with the global litigation portfolio (investigations, letters before action, cease & desists, e‑discovery, mediations, settlement and releases, etc.)
• Use and maintain the company’s document, template, and contract repositories.
• Prepare and present tailored training sessions as part of our in‑house training program.
• Monitor legal developments, conduct legal research, and advise leadership.
• Support a wide range of projects and teams on an as‑needed basis, from HR and Tax to Aircraft Maintenance and Operations.
• Other tasks as may be required.
