Job summary

Morgan Jones Recruitment Consultants is seeking a motivated Junior CNC Machinist to join their workshop team in Aylesford, Kent. This role offers excellent training and the chance to develop skills in a supportive environment. You will work alongside experienced machinists, gaining hands-on experience in setting and operating CNC lathes and mills.

The ideal candidate will have some experience in CNC machining, a commitment to quality, and the ability to read technical drawings. This position offers progression into a fully skilled CNC Machinist role with strong support for your professional growth.

Qualifications

• Some experience or training in CNC machining, ideally with a focus on turning.
• Ability to read technical drawings.
• Willingness to learn and develop technical skills.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate CNC lathes and milling machines.
• Load and run CNC programs, making basic offsets and adjustments.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Measure and inspect components to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Ensure all work meets required quality and safety standards.
• Carry out basic machine maintenance and housekeeping.
• Work collaboratively with the wider workshop team.
