Junior CMM Quality Inspector

Location: Wickford

Type: Permanent

Leidos is currently seeking a Junior CMM Quality Inspector / FARO ARM Operator/Programmer to join our team.

This role is ideal for someone with inspection experience looking to develop skills in CMM operating and programming, inspecting components, tools, jigs, and fixtures used in automotive manufacturing.

The Role

Programming and operating CMM and Faro Arm machines to verify the dimensional accuracy of parts, fixtures, and jigs according to CAD data and specifications. Recording inspection results and preparing reports.

Knowledge of ISO9001, ISO14001, and Q1 is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and program Faro Arm and CMM machines
• Inspect components from CNC workshop for correctness and tolerances
• Create programs using CAD models
• Inspect jigs, fixtures, and simple components
• Generate inspection reports
• Adjust components to meet specifications
• Calibrate and maintain equipment
• Report failures and fill NCR documentation
• Check fixtures and jigs for completeness and quality
• Complete final inspection reports

Candidate Profile

Experience as an inspector or machinist with inspection duties preferred.

Willingness to learn, flexible, able to read engineering drawings, familiar with inspection equipment, and adaptable to ad hoc tasks.
