Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled and proactive Cloud Engineer with hands-on experience in operating and administering cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud automation, infrastructure configuration, and migration, with a focus on performance, security, and scalability. You will play a key role in maintaining and optimizing projects’ cloud systems and services.
Key Responsibilities:
· Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure platforms based on customer requirements and best practices.
· Apply technical expertise and customer insights to ensure cloud configurations meet design specifications and deliver high performance, scalability, security, and reliability.
· Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or CloudFormation; ensure configurations are repeatable, documented, and aligned to automation-by-default principles.
· Support and participate in cloud migration projects involving virtual machines and databases; hands-on experience using tools such as CloudEndure, Azure Migrate, especially for migrations involving 20+ VMs or mission-critical databases, is preferred.
· Ensure cloud systems are managed with automation practices and maintain documentation for all deployments and operational processes.
· Work closely with internal teams and projects to identify, discuss, and implement operational improvements and optimizations for cloud-based environments.
· Ensure issues are resolved within SLA timelines and documented appropriately for knowledge sharing and audit purposes.
· Stay current with emerging technologies, certifications, and industry trends in cloud computing; actively participate in knowledge sharing and technical community engagement.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
· Minimum 3 years of experience in cloud infrastructure administration and operations.
· Hands-on experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
· Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools: Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, etc.
· Experience with cloud migration tools such as CloudEndure, Azure Migrate, or similar.
· Strong understanding of cloud security, networking, performance tuning, and cost optimization.
· Proven ability to document deployment architectures, operational procedures, and troubleshooting runbooks.
· Experience working in customer-facing roles, with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
· Knowledge of SLAs, incident response processes, and IT service management standards.
