Full-time appointment from August 2025 or February 2026

St George's Hospital, the primary teaching hospital in southwest London, provides all tertiary specialties. The Adult Critical Care Directorate has 60 beds across three units: GICU, NICU, and CTICU. An exciting development is the construction of a new 20-bed ICU. Successful candidates will work across one or more units, with preferences accommodated where possible.
Experienced trainees/clinical fellows seeking to broaden their experience, including subspecialty experience in cardiothoracic or neuro intensive care, as well as novice trainees with no prior ICU experience, are welcome. Responsibilities will be tailored to experience and overseen by consultant intensivists. The experience gained will benefit those pursuing diverse career paths.
The applicant should have completed foundation training or equivalent. UK healthcare system experience is desirable. GMC registration is essential unless applying for sponsorship.
Candidates will be scored at interview and offered rotations based on availability and preference.
St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust serves a population of 1.3 million in southwest London, with services extending to Surrey and Sussex, covering around 3.5 million people. It is a major trauma center with a helipad and featured in the Channel 4 documentary "24 Hours in A&E" for 23 seasons.
