Junior Clinical Fellow in General Surgery

This is an exciting opportunity for a Full Time Junior Clinical Fellow (Lower Level) in General Surgery based at the Grange University Hospital, SE Wales. The position starts on 6th August 2025 and is fixed for 12 months, ending on 4th August 2026.

The role is suitable for junior doctors interested in a surgical specialty or seeking surgical experience before applying for higher training. It offers rotation through upper GI, colorectal, and breast surgery, with responsibilities in emergency and elective general and GI surgery, including inpatient and outpatient care. The post provides training comparable to core surgical trainees across Wales, with opportunities for teaching, research, and career development.

Applicants must be prepared to travel between multiple sites within the Health Board, with expenses reimbursed. The department includes numerous consultants and trainees across various specialties, fostering excellent inter-departmental collaboration.
