Job description

Junior Clinical Fellow in Dermatology (Epidermolysis Bullosa)

The postholder will contribute to dermatology services at Guys and St. Thomas Hospital Trust, including:

  • Becoming an active member of the multidisciplinary team caring for patients with EB and other genodermatoses, as well as children with skin diseases.
  • Supporting outpatient clinics (EB, genetics, paediatric dermatology, skin cancer screening).
  • Contributing to inpatient care of EB and genodermatosis patients.
  • Working with the EB Patient Pathway Manager, clinical nurse specialists, and administrative staff to coordinate outpatient, day case, and inpatient episodes.
  • Providing ongoing clinical responsibility for patients under your charge.
Teaching and Training

All fellows are expected to contribute to the teaching and training program at St Johns, including supervising trainees and supporting the postgraduate MSc course.

Research

Support the clinical research program, supervise clinical trials, and promote research activities among staff.

Clinical Governance

Participate in clinical governance activities such as audits, guideline development, and risk management, and document contributions for appraisal.
