Elvet Recruitment is recruiting for an experienced Junior / Trainee Planner on behalf of a large civil engineering main contractor specializing in the Water industry. This reputable Water main contractor is growing and in need of an ambitious Planner / Programmer with proven industry ability to join their regional team.

This large main contractor has grown significantly over the past decade in North England. There are endless opportunities within this company, including progression routes, growth, staff development, and strong pipelines of work across several frameworks. This role will involve working closely with an established Planner to enhance the Planning capabilities of the business.

Progression is not limited; future development qualifications and certificates can be provided if desired. The role allows flexible working from home alongside office work and site visits.

Duties:

1. Using Planning tools such as Primavera or MS Project (or similar).
2. Preparing Tender programmes.
3. Reporting to senior management.
4. Managing projects from inception through all stages: investigation, bid, outline design, detailed design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.
5. Programme control and project monitoring to ensure efficient delivery.
6. Overseeing the production of detailed programs including timelines for drawings, tender documents, and specifications.
7. Ensuring Subcontractors' and Suppliers' programmes are integrated into the overall project programmes.

Preferred:

• Proven track record using P6 and MS Project software.
• Experience working as a Planner within Yorkshire Water or similar Water framework.
• Experience working on Water Treatment projects.

On offer is an attractive salary up to £50,000 plus a package including vehicle/allowance, pension, annual leave, healthcare, and a discretionary bonus.
