Your new company, Hays, is working in partnership with a global provider of high-end consulting and engineering services, standing at the forefront of innovation. They are seeking to employ a Junior Civil Engineer to join their Water and Wastewater Infrastructure team. The company has a multidisciplinary team of experts across civil and structural engineering, water engineering, project management, environmental specialists, and more, with a presence in over 400 locations worldwide.

Your new role: The talented Junior Engineer will join the Water Team in Belfast. This role is ideal for individuals with limited water engineering experience to develop their skills in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design and analysis of water-related engineering projects, including supply, treatment, and distribution systems.
• Support the preparation of reports, basis-of-design descriptions, and project documentation.
• Perform design calculations and analyses for water infrastructure projects.
• Assist in preparing engineering reports, construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Ensure adherence to standard engineering practices and proper documentation.
• Provide construction administration support, review submittals, respond to RFIs, and inspect work for compliance.

What you'll need to succeed:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Strong foundation in engineering principles and passion for water engineering.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil3D, ICM, Microdrainage.
• Familiarity with Eurocodes, Highway Works specifications, Civil Engineering Water Industry standards, and Sewers For Adoption.
• At least 3 years of UK or Ireland experience.
