G3 is a dynamic 28-bedded stroke unit at Frimley Park Hospital, comprising 12 Hyper Acute Stroke Unit (HASU) beds and 16 Stroke Rehabilitation beds. We deliver high-quality, specialist care to patients at various stages of their stroke recovery journey.

Our Dedicated Team Includes

24 registered nurses

22 care assistants

10 Band 6 Junior Sisters/Charge Nurses

2 Ward Managers

A Clinical Practice Educator

2 Ward Clerks

A Stroke Pathway Coordinator

As a Junior Sister/Charge Nurse, you will work in close partnership with the Senior Sister, Matron, and the wider multidisciplinary team. You will play a key leadership role in maintaining clinical excellence, supporting staff development, and ensuring the delivery of safe, compassionate, and effective care to our patients.

This is a rewarding opportunity to lead within a supportive and forward-thinking stroke service, where your skills and leadership will contribute directly to improving patient outcomes.

Main duties of the job

You will be expected to demonstrate clinical leadership and drive quality improvement changes in the clinical setting.

You will support junior colleagues in their professional development and with appropriate training you will support the senior sister with management of staff sickness, appraisals ,staffing issues, incident and complaint management etc.

We can offer you a range of management and leadership development opportunities to support you in this role. as well as support from a dedicated clinical practice educator who provides support to all our staff and can focus on any specific training requirements you may have.

  • Wide range of clinical skills - venepuncture, cannulation, drug administration, catheterisation, ECG
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to manage difficult/stressful situations effectively
  • Basic keyboard skills. Basic use of IT packages (word, excel, powerpoint)

  • Teaching and training skills
