What Is the Opportunity?

At Travelers, we work to ensure our customers are covered when it matters most. To provide the best coverage possible, our Enterprise Catastrophe Risk Management team assesses the risk of financial loss due to natural and man-made catastrophes and risk reward analytics. As the Sr. Analyst, Catastrophe (CAT) Risk, you will support others within your assigned team and projects, while developing your data, risk, and insurance industry knowledge and building professional relationships across the enterprise.

Travelers Europe currently offers flexibility to employees who wish to work on a hybrid basis in accordance with our Hybrid Work Arrangements Policy. This entails full-time employees working three days a week in the office and two days at home (or pro-rata for part-time employees). This policy may be changed at the Company’s discretion.

This role is eligible for a 1,500 GBP/EUR new joiner referral bonus. If you are successfully referred by an employee at Travelers Europe, both you and the person who referred you could be eligible for this bonus.

What Will You Do?
  1. Work with Underwriting and operations to support catastrophe risk data processing and ensure any issues are resolved in line with reporting and project deadlines.
  2. Perform basic analysis on exposure movements and aggregations.
  3. Build knowledge of CAT Ecosystem modelling for metrics, reports, and exposure data.
  4. Support the Pre U/W CAT modelling process.
  5. Assist in the refresh of analytical processes and exposure management monitoring.
  6. Provide training on aggregate data entry and maintain standard operating procedures for in-house and outsourced data processing.
  7. Support data processing on complex cases beyond the scope of operations.
  8. Perform other duties as assigned.

  • General knowledge of working with aggregations data.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Suite, SQL, geospatial, statistical packages, or other data analysis tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow through on tasks and projects.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
What is a Must Have?
  • Bachelor’s Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), Business, or a related field.
