Job summary

First Military Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Junior Technical Engineer in Flintshire for a 6-month contract. The role focuses on measuring and characterising performance of calibration equipment against standards, with strict metrological practice and records management.

The position supports calibration procedures, artefact handling, data capture, and procedural improvements, with SAFETY and quality compliance in an aviation-related environment.

Qualifications

• Engineering background in mechanical or electronic/electrical disciplines.
• Formal engineering training or apprenticeship or equivalent.
• Ability to work in a team and follow procedures.
• Proficient IT skills: Word, Excel and related software.
• Eligible for SC clearance; BPSS acceptable as a starting point.

Responsibilities

• Carry out calibration and measurements to authorised documentation.
• Ensure calibration standards and artefacts are fit for use and traceable.
• Record calibration data accurately and manage paperwork for compliance.
• Support with pre-production verification and documentation.
• Assist with development and improvement of calibration procedures.
