Job Description

Junior Calibration Engineer / Junior Calibration Specialist / Junior Calibration Technician required for a Calibration and Metrology Service provider in Stockport.

The successful Junior Calibration Engineer/ Calibration Engineer / Calibration Technician will be responsible for the calibration of measuring instrumentation and repair facilities to both ISO9001 and UKAS standards. You will be responsible for calibrating items such as Dial Gauges, Gauge Blocks, Micrometers, Calipers, Screw Gauges and Vee Blocks.

This is an onsite role, the successful Junior Calibration Engineer will need to live in a commutable distance of Stockport.

The Role:


  • Perform calibration of customer equipment to both ISO9001 and UKAS standards

  • Calibrating micrometres, callipers, height gauges, torque wrenches and gauge blocks

  • Produce, develop and audit automated and manual calibration procedures for use within the laboratory for customer calibration

  • Handle technical enquiries and liaise with clients when necessary

Requirements:


  • Experience with calibration including micrometres, callipers, height gauges, torque wrenches and gauge blocks

  • Knowledge of practices and theories

  • Experience within a customer-focused environment

  • Commutable to Stockport
