Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a Junior CAD Technician to produce detailing drawings and manage multiple projects from approval layouts to release for manufacture. The role supports a busy planning and production team in a growing construction business.

You will work with AutoCAD and other design software to ensure designs meet customer and manufacturing requirements, with opportunities to learn and develop in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Confident and organised individual with strong attention to detail.
• Good communication and time management skills are important.
• Willingness to learn and develop CAD skills in a design office environment.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate technical drawings and detailed designs using AutoCAD and the company’s design software.
• Develop product knowledge and ensure designs meet customer and manufacturing requirements.
• Prepare approval layouts, project drawings and manufacturing schedules for multiple projects.
• Manage projects from receipt of order through to manufacture and delivery to site.
• Collaborate with mentors, colleagues and other departments to complete projects on time.
• Support wider design-office activities, including pricing, quotations, workload planning and manufacturing decisions.

Up to £30,000 (depending on experience)

A growing and well-established construction business is seeking an organised Design Office Administrator to support its busy planningand production team.

You’ll play a key role in producing detailing drawings and managing multiple projects from approval layouts to releasing schedules for manufacture.

Key responsibilities

• Produce accurate technical drawings and detailed designs using AutoCAD and the company’s design software.
• Develop strong product knowledge and ensure designs meet customer and manufacturing requirements.
• Prepare approval layouts, project drawings and manufacturing schedules for multiple projects.
• Manage projects from receipt of order through to manufacture and delivery to site.
• Work closely with mentors, colleagues and other departments to ensure projects are completed accurately and on time.
• Support wider design-office activities, including pricing, quotations, workload planning and manufacturing/casting decisions.

• Some AutoCAD experience would be desirable (but we're totally open to someone looking to get into the industry!)
